A cross country Hot Rod trip—who’s with me?

Ever went on a hot rod road trip? Well, if you plan on going you might want to take pointers from Dave Schaub of Los Gatos, Calif. He is attempting to drive his 1932 Ford roadster through 49 states in just nine days!

He left California a couple of days ago and estimates that he can cover 1,000 miles a day; and his custom Ford street rod is more than capable of doing it. The classic vehicle is souped up to the last bolt and its engine roar honors the tradition of American muscle.

Schaub has a good cause to back-up this stellar task. The former army drill instructor is looking to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House at Stanford. Families stay there, while their children receive healthcare treatments at nearby hospitals.

Schaub is asking people to donate a penny per mile as he goes on his cross-country toad trip. He says that his wife thinks he’s crazy—and the boys from Drag Dreams couldn’t disagree any stronger. Good luck, Schaub!
