GM to manufacture a hot rod station wagon

General Motors (GM) is going to manufacture a hot rod station wagon, according to the company vice chairman Bob Lutz.

The upcoming hot rod wagon will be 556-horsepower CTS-V version of the new Cadillac luxury hauler. This was confirmed by Lutz to Car and Driver Magazine.

Analysts say that it will only be a simple manufacturing process, and it could claim a sizable piece of the target demographic. However, it will not help GM’s campaign for fuel economy.

Auto reviews say that the CTS-V sedan has a powerful engine and can go from zero to 60 miles in less than four seconds. The wagon version of the vehicle also has a unique appeal.
